It looks more like a parody of many horror movies than a legit parody of “Dude, that’s my ghost!”. The only connection between this and the animated series is the titles.

“What worries me about Yahoo! buying Tumblr is how it would choose to incorporate the website into its email and homepage features. One of the reasons why Tumblr is so unique is because it’s a niche market. By adding more users who don’t fit into this niche, it would make it more difficult for communities to develop within Tumblr, and Tumblr would have to change to accommodate these new users. Tumblr as a website is not the kind that you can sign up for in a day and be on your way. It is a website crafted so that you can immediately post but must spend several weeks, sometimes even months, to build a community. As much as is does sound like a load of bullshit for someone to buy Tumblr, it’s a possibility. I Personally think it should stay independent and I hope David Karp keeps a hold of it like his own child. Or we make enough noise to where such major changes (if bought) will not happen. I would hate to see Tumblr turned into an advertising dump.

We’re not a ‘hip fad group’ to be marketed to. I hate the fact that’s all we look like to businesses in the end.

I have these two Charizard I got in Japan - a Pokedoll that came out a day before we had to leave, and a Pokemon Time Charizard charm. It’s really cute, but I don’t like Charizard a whole lot. I bought these two Charizard items for a special friend, even though at that time I was really upset at that person. Then we parted ways because it never got better, and I’d rather not keep around things that upset me.

Hi there!

There are mainly two things I’d like to do (and I’ll tell you about one of them later) after I’m finished with stupid exams (one’ll be tomorrow and the last one the following monday).

One of the ideas is to talk about cross-over potential of series. I’d tell how many pros (details that would make it work) and cons (details which don’t work together very well) would make it a good one. I think I’d start with two series and a comic-book. I’d try to say what would be the best way to pair up the Ace Attorney, “Dude, that’s my ghost!” and “The Innocent” (after much thought, all of them at once wouldn’t work mainly because of the way ghosts are treated in two out of three continuities, unless someone has a very big set of headcanons to back everything up and somehow make it work).

Yeah, I like to think a lot... And give opinions about some stuff. And elaborate on why that PL dub's title sucks. And recommend other animation. Not exactly in that order.

Long title is long…

1. The first time I heard Billy Joe Cobra sing (in the episode called “Billy Joe Cobra’s last fan”), I didn’t like the way the song sounded (mainly because it appeared to be more like a parody to me). In “For the birds” though, it seemed to me like they dropped the joke and made BJC’s voice actor sing normally, which I find to be much better.

2. Spencer reminds me more of a Rittz from a short animation, “SWITCH” by Tyson Hesse (It’s really great! I like watching it. Also, the character’s from a webcomic called “Boxer Hockey” - I really recommend it!), than Danny Fenton. It could be because of the color scheme… I don’t know.

3. I still can’t get over the PL dub’s title of the series… When I first saw it, it just sounded weird.

It’s easy to translate “nas dwóch” to English because there’s just one variant in the target language. When it comes to translating “the two of us” to Polish, there can be one out of three outcomes:

a) “nas dwóch”, when both people are male;

b) “nas dwoje”, when either both people are female or one person is male and the other female;

c) “nasza dwójka”, a more general term (I thought it would be used only when both people are kids. I was wrong.);

Poor Shanila. The translators completely ignored her just for the sake of making the title rhyme. Thanks to the title it seems like only Billy, Spencer and Rajeev (or maybe another guy?) are the main characters.

Remember when I wrote a post about having no clue whether the episodes of DTMG have reruns on Polish Disney XD channel?

Well, it turns out that there are.

Premiere of the third set of episodes (the 3rd and 4th episode in the UK run) was on 10.05 at 15:10 and reruns of that one set will be on 12.05 19.05 26.05 at 09:00.

So… The premieres of new sets are planned for fridays and ~~reruns of the most recent couple of episodes on three following sundays… Not the best way to catch new audience, especially when the show’s pretty fresh, in my opinion.~~ Scratch that, I’ve noticed that the reruns are more frequent than that. Seems like they really waited for more sets to be aired.

~~I’d understand if it was one of those ‘classic’ series (from 90s or something)… I guess the staff from Polish Disney XD decided people wouldn’t be too interested in DTMG.~~ The reruns are each saturday and sunday, it seems.

Personally, I wouldn’t be interested in show, which title says “[The] Ghost and the two of us” either. And that’s the Polish dub’s title. (In Polish, of course. It’s “Duch i nas dwóch”.) (I find it funny how they decided not to use the PL title of the show in the TV program. Then again, that’s not new for them to keep English titles of some of those.)
